Over a dozen participating restaurants will offer $5 tapas-sized portions of their finest local shellfish creations. Local wineries and breweries will offer $3 pairings. The bounty of the North Fork will come together in a delicious culinary walk that celebrates our bays, while raising funds to support the research, stewardship, and education based programming of Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Back to the Bays Initiative, and SPAT Program 12  – 4 pm. Details.
  • Greenport Village: Parade of Lights & Christmas Tree Lighting, Greenport. Join us as we welcome in the holiday season with a Parade of Lights down Main Street followed by a Christmas tree lighting in Mitchell Park. Parade begins at the intersection of Main Street and Center Street and makes its way to Mitchell Park. Visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the carousel and enjoy holiday songs sung by students from Greenport School. 5 pm. Details.

  • VSOP Projects: Winter Salon – Collector Preview, Greenport. Please join us for a reception with the artists to celebrate the opening of our first Winter Salon exhibition at VSOP Projects. This is a rare opportunity to collect affordably priced artworks by more than 25 legendary artists from the North Fork, the Hamptons, and Long Island. Open to the public and all are welcome.   • The South Street Gallery: 10 x 10 Art Sale & Reception – Preview, Greenport. Once again, The South Street Gallery is providing artists with 10×10 cradled birch plywood boards. Each work will be sold for $100; 25% of each sale going to the gallery and the remainder split between the NFEC and the artist.
