  • Main Stage Dance Academy: Master Class with Broadway Veteran Justin Ross, Greenport. Director/Choreographer, Justin Ross will teach acting and dance at our studio on Saturday, November 11th. Justin became a member of the Houston Ballet shortly after graduating the High School of Performing Arts (with Miss Lucille!). When he returned to NYC, he performed in the original Broadway productions of The Magic Show, Pippin (choreographed by Bob Fosse), and A Chorus Line. Justin was also chosen to recreate his character in the movie, A Chorus Line starring Michael Douglas.   • Peconic Landing: Omer Quartet Chamber Ensemble, Greenport. Comprising of violinists Mason Yu and Erica Tursi, violist Jinsun Hong, and cellist Alex Cox, The Omer Quartet is a leader among today’s young string quartets. The top prizewinner in the XI Premio Paolo Borciani Competition in Italy, a prizewinner of the 2016 Bordeaux International Competition in France, and the 2013 Grand Prize and Gold Medal Winner of the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, the quartet has been praised for playing with a “sense of discovery and adventure, but also with considerable finesse.” 3 – 5 pm.   • William Ris Gallery: Sherri Wolfgang’s “Nick-E-Lo-De-An,” Jamesport. Sherri Wolfgang’s newest series was inspired by the earliest movies which were short, flickering images creating the illusion of motion. As in the first theaters to show these films more than a century ago, Nick.e.lo.de.on captures individual “frames” of a dancer in motion. The spotlight flickers on and off…and with the contrast of shadow and light recaptures the wonders of the human body and expression. Meet Nick, the dancer/model, inspiring this series. 11-5 pm.
