The North Fork TV Festival will screen new TV pilots and host panel discussions all weekend at the Greenport Theatre. Get a jump start on fall apple picking at Harbes Apple Festival Saturday & Sunday. Closer to Riverhead, Martha Clara is hosting a grape stomp party on Sunday. Those looking to adopt a pet have an opportunity to rescue one this weekend at American Beech or Osprey’s Dominion. Join Eastern Long Island Hospital for a Family 5K Walk/Run at Breeze Hill Farms on Sunday.

  • Cutchogue Library: Food & Culture Along the Trans-Siberian Railway with Allegra Borghese, Cutchogue. Researcher Allegra Borghese traveled over 4,000 miles of the Trans-Siberian Railway to explore how consumer culture is impacting food systems and traditions in rapidly developing communities of this region. She interviewed people in China, Mongolia, and Russia to discover how they respond to the changes posed by globalization.
