The 11th Annual North Fork Foodie Tour will once again celebrate the bounty of the North Fork, featuring 20 locations…farms, vineyards and other food producers…offering behind-the-scenes tours of their operations. Enjoy the opportunity to meet the extraordinary people who have dedicated their lives to producing the local foods that make the North Fork so special. The North Fork Foodie Tour is a self-guided exploration of local artisans who produce distinctive foods and practice methods of sustainable agriculture, helping to preserve our world. August 24: Tribute Thursdays

Claudio’s honors the late Jerry Tuthill, co-owner of the Claudio’s establishments, with weekly concerts featuring the Northeast’s greatest tribute bands. Earth Wind and Fire Tribute The show runs 8-11 pm. 21+ yrs old only. Details.

August 24: Outdoor Movie Night: Throwback Thursdays

Classic films, beautiful waterside setting. Bring your own law chairs, food, snacks, beer & wine available. Grounds open at 6, movie starts at dusk. Back to the Future 6pm. Details.

August 24: Alive on 25!

Alive on 25 is a free summer street festival in Downtown Riverhead offering local craft beverages and wine, live music, artists, street vendors and plenty of activities for all. Main Street closes to traffic to allow a walkable pop-up musical festival and restaurant offerings, artist exhibitions, and family friendly activities. Alive on 25 hosts a popular classic car show for all to enjoy. 5-9:30pm. Details.

August 24: Live Music: Twilight Thursdays

The Corey Creek Tap Room offers live music, lawn games, glass specials and a food truck every Thursday night. Tonight it’s Jesse Barnes, and the food is Noah’s on the Road food truck. 5-9 pm. Details.

August 24: Weird Beer: OG Beer Release Night 

Greenport Harbor Brewing & Little Creek Oysters team up each Thursday to intro a new OG (Original Greenport) beer with happy hour pricing. This week: Fuzzy Flamingo: (4.7%) Collaboration with Dub Co. A Lactose Berliner Weisse packed with Peach and Raspberry.  5-8 pm. Details. 

 

August 25: East End Seaport Museum: Marine Woodworking and Restoration

Anders Langendal & Sons’ main focus is major restoration and repair of both wooden and fiberglass boats, with a specialty in marine woodworking. This will be a rare opportunity to glimpse inside this amazing world with true craftsmen explaining how they accomplish their work. ***This session will be held at Anders Langendal & Sons located next to Greenport Yacht & Shipbuilding Co. on Carpenter Street in Greenport***Light Refreshments. 5:30-7:30 pm. Details.

August 25: Little Creek Oysters: Friday Night Bites- Oysters and Pintxos at Little Creek

August 27: Palmer Vineyards: 3rd Annual Harvest Kick-Off Party

The annual benefit for the New Suffolk Waterfront Fund. A fabulous food and art event hosted by the New Suffolk Waterfront Fund. September 9: Concert in the Dome with John Joe Michael Roarty

This 2010 national guitar competition winner will demonstrate his mastery of the instrument and talent for composition in this magical, intimate performance held inside our 22′ observation dome.  Seating inside the dome is extremely limited Stargazing will follow beginning at nightfall. September 10: 1st Annual 5K Family Walk-Run for Behavioral Health Services at Eastern Long Island Hospital

Eastern Long Island Hospital (ELIH) announces its first annual 5K Walk/Run on Sunday, September 10, 2017.  Join us “on the road to recovery” to benefit our Quannacut Inpatient and Outpatient Addiction and Inpatient Adult Psychiatry programs.  This fun-filled family event to be held at Breeze Hill Farm & Preserve, Peconic, NY, includes a 5K Walk/Run starting at 8:45 a.m. for adults and children 13+.  There will be a half-mile kids “fun” run for children 6–12 beginning at 9:15 a.m.  A post race party is planned with an awards ceremony, children’s activities, and animals from North Shore Animal Welfare League.  And, as a special treat, “Walkie Bear” will be on site, courtesy of WALK Radio 97.5 FM. The North Fork of Long Island is famous for its delectable fare. Here, the tradition of farming has continued and expanded. Now it’s taken on yet another life as artisans have begun to produce distinctive foods and explore methods of sustainable agriculture. The 11th Annual North Fork Foodie Tour will include 20 locations representing a wide array of food producers on the North Fork, all providing behind-the-scenes tours of their farms and other establishments. September 11: Lighthouse Super Cruise

September 16: Sylvester Manor Concert: Solas

It can be convincingly argued that no band has done more than Solas to prove that celtic music today is truly a universal musical language, like jazz, classical, rock or bluegrass.  The band’s sound is explosive yet seductively personal – timelessly melodic yet rippling with modern muscle.  Founding members Seamus Egan and Winifred Horan along with Moira Smiley, the vocalist who knocked us out here last September performing with Jayme Stone’s Lomax Project, front this five-piece band that the Boston Globe has called “ the finest Celtic ensemble this country has ever produced.” This final concert will have an added bonus, a contradance in the tradition of “Plant and Sing”, featuring Ed Howe & Bennett Konesni’s band Drive Train! Sylvester Manor, Creekside. 5-10 pm  Details.

September 17: VIP Blending Class

Description: At Sannino Bella Vita Vineyard, you have the opportunity to be a winemaker for a day. With this exclusive session, you and your guest will have the chance to learn how to blend a custom bottle of wine as you learn about life as a vintner. Details.

September 22: Land and Sea Gala for the East End Seaport Museum

The Friday night before Maritime madness is an unforgettable night of food, drink & more to support the community institution that makes the festival happen (and does a lot more than that.) Details.

September 23 and 24: Greenport’s Maritime Festival

All day the streets close, the boats come out and the fun starts. Come and enjoy classic, ice and small boats; fireboat tours; cruises; live music; food, wine & beer tastings; Village of Greenport shops & restaurants; vendors; craft and nautical demonstrations; the Carousel; Stirling Historical Society; Blacksmith Shop; Seaport Museum; Railroad Museum; and the very cool Camera Obscura.  The Cutchogue-New Suffolk Historical Society hosts “Back in Time.” This car show is unique because the cars are not just classic and beautiful, they are also pretty old. There’s also a costume contest, and the historic buildings are open for exploration. After (or before), wander downtown Cutchogue for restaurants, shops, Wickham’s Fruit Farm, Waters Crest Winery’s tasting room. 9 am-4 pm. Details.
