Traditional holiday favorites performed live by a unique musical group. A great way to get in the spirit! Members of the Harbor Bells have been performing together since 1993. In April 2006 they became a community English handbell choir and have been entertaining and inspiring audiences on the North and South forks since that time. Some of the selected works this season will be: Good King Wenceslas, Joy to the World, Jingle Bells, It came upon the Midnight Clear, O Little Town of Bethlehem, and We Three Kings. Details.

November 10: Halyard Wine Dinner featuring Channing Daughters Winery

Rockstar winemaker, Christopher Tracy, of Channing Daughters teams up with James Beard award-winning chef, Galen Zamarra, for an evening of wine and food in the Halyard’s beautifully restored Library room. 6:30-9:30 pm. Details.

November 10: Suffolk Theatre: Dan’s Best of The Best Celebration

Dan’s Best of the Best Celebration Concert featuring Dan’s Best of the Best Platinum winner Hopefully Forgiven. After the banner year of Dan’s Best of the Best 2017, a true celebration is in order! November 11: Taste Nouveau Release Weekend

Celebrate the inaugural release of our newest wine – Taste Nouveau. Nouveau is the first wine of the vintage – fresh and full of fruit, it’s a versatile companion to the holiday table. Try a glass paired with your favorite slice of pie from our local pastry pros at Four & Twenty Blackbirds in Orient. 11 am -5 pm. Details.

November 11: Holiday Gift Showcase

Your one-stop shop for holiday gifts! More than 20 local businesses and vendors selling products and homemade gifts. Presented by the Peconic Landing Community Fund. 10 am – 3 pm. Details.

November 11: Champagne, Chopin & Caviar Tour

 Our annual tradition continues!  Special tours demonstrating the last stages in making Champagne. Watch us complete the “méthode champenoise” process. See us disgorge, dosage, cork, wire net the bottles in preparation for the Holiday season. Enjoy a glass of our Cuvee Rare Champagne and hors d’oeuvres. Reservations required. Group size limited. November 12: Cheese Pairing Seminar

Join us for a whirlwind tour of the possibilities of wine and cheese pairings with local expert Michael Affatato of the Village Cheese Shop on Sunday, November 12 in our Tasting Room. Taste through four cheeses with four wines. Learn which cheese types best match your favorite wines and get insider tips on how to find the right match on your own12 – 2 pm. Details. 

November 12: Omer Quartet Chamber Ensemble

Comprising of violinists Mason Yu and Erica Tursi, violist Jinsun Hong, and cellist Alex Cox, The Omer Quartet is a leader among today’s young string quartets. The top prizewinner in the XI Premio Paolo Borciani Competition in Italy, a prizewinner of the 2016 Bordeaux International Competition in France, and the 2013 Grand Prize and Gold Medal Winner of the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, the quartet has been praised for playing with a “sense of discovery and adventure, but also with considerable finesse.” 3 – 5 pm. November 14: Three Perspectives on North Fork Environmental Issues

Join the Lifetime Learning Speakers Bureau as they present an environmental panel consisting of Jeremy Samuelson, Director of the Mashomack Preserve and representing the Nature Conservancy on Long Island; Bob Deluca, president of the group for the East End; and Melanie Cirillo, Director of Conservation planning for the Peconic Land Trust. 8 – 9 pm. BYOB-C-D-E-F-G! Bring a side, bring some pie (stawberry rhubarb please!), bring some wine; it’s a potluck. We’ll be making the turkey! 6-9 pm. Details.

November 18: Identifying Leaves without Trees

An interesting collection of understory and canopy trees can be found in the Downs Farm Preserve. Identifying these trees in mid-November, when most leaves have dropped, can be a bit of a challenge. Join us on a short nature walk through the Preserve’s trail system as we look for clues to the identities of these “trees without leaves”.
