  • Talk: Gyotaku Fish PrintsEast End Seaport Museum Greenport. Artist Joe Mullins and Gyotaku Print Making–Mr. Mullins comes to the EESM with a thorough knowledge and vast experience in the fine art of Gyotaku. Gyotaku pronounced (gee-oh-tah-koo) means “fish rubbing” in Japanese. It is a traditional form of Japanese fish printing, dating from the mid-1800s, used by fishermen to record their catch. For an additional fee, lecture attendees will have the opportunity to create their very own print to frame and hang proudly as “The one that DIDN’T get away”. Light Refreshments. 5:30-7:30 pm. Details.
