Last Friday the North Fork Art Collective officially opened its doors to a packed crowd of fans, friends, and art enthusiasts. The new gallery is a collaboration between founding artists Kara Hoblin, Madison Fender, Jeremy Garretson, Emma Ballou, Peter Treiber, Scott Bluedorn and Kelly Franké. The opening was itself a collaboration of local artists & vendors including Julia King who provided live music, Lieb Cellars who offered White Merlot on tap, refreshments catered by Lombardi’s Love Lane, and an Afterparty hosted by First &…

Alive on 25 Brings Artists & Artisans to Riverhead

Riverhead’s premiere street festival returned this year bringing with it a plethora of artisanal vendors, local food trucks, craft breweries and area musicians to the historic downtown area for four Thursdays in July and August. After a rain out in July the 4th installment was rescheduled to August 31st, ending the 2017 season. 90 Year Eclipse Viewed from Custer Observatory

Folks packed Custer Observatory this past Monday with solar shades and pinhole projection boxes to catch a glimpse of the 2017 Total Solar Eclipse, an event that hadn’t been seen in the U.S. for almost 90 years. Back to Our Roots – Harvest East End

Last Saturday the Long Island wine community gathered at Martha Clara Vineyards to celebrate winemaking on the East End, sample local artisan food-craft, and pay homage to the late pioneers who contributed so much to the L.I. wine industry.
